We are sure that you will want to take advantage of the all-inclusive fun at the Neptune Beach Resort, but if you do want to venture outside, you will find lots of things to do both in the local area and in nearby Mombasa.
Haller Park is a lovely wildlife sanctuary that is situated within the Baobab Adventure complex. You can take a guided tour or simply meander around the sanctuary yourself. Don’t forget to check out the reptile park! You can also pay a visit to the Mombasa Marine National Park & Reserve which has an impressive marine life. Why not hire a glass-bottomed boat and see what marine life you can find?
Nearby Mombasa has a real cosmopolitan feel and is Kenya’s second largest city. There are lots of things to see and do – and it’s only a 15-minute drive away from your accommodation at the Neptune. Take a wonder around the enigmatic old town where you will find Fort Jesus or head up the coast to Mtwapa Creek where you can enjoy a bike ride, go bird watching or go for an invigorating hike. Nature lovers can pay a visit to Shimba Hills National Park which is renowned for its elephant habitat, the stocks of antelopes, the Mwaluganje forest and a beautiful waterfall.
Tsavo East National Park is one of the oldest and largest parks in Kenya and is home to a vast array of wildlife including elephants, rhinos, buffalo, lions, leopards, hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks and more. It also has over 500 recorded species of birds too.
About the destination
You will spend eight nights at the luxurious Neptune Beach Resort which is located just outside of Mombasa and two nights at the Mombasa & Ashnil Aruba Lodge in Tsavo.
The Neptune Beach Resort is located on the shimmering silver sands of Bamburi Beach. This has a real laidback and friendly vibe – a real ‘home away from home’ and the rooms are colourful and spacious and come with satellite TV, a mini fridge, mosquito net, free wifi and tea/coffee making facilities. All rooms come with a private balcony with garden view.
There are lots of things to such as billiards, darts, table tennis, tennis and beach volleyball. There is also an 18-hole golf course and go kart facility nearby.
As an all-inclusive guest, you can not only take advantage of the extensive food and drink, but the fun entertainment from the resort team which includes fashion shows, water gymnastics, bands, discos, acrobatic shows and traditional African folk dancers just to name a few.
You will then spend two nights at the charming Ashnil Aruba Lodge which lies in the heart of Tsavo East National Park in Kenya. It has a superb location and there are several watering holes nearby where you can see the most amazing wildlife. The rooms are spacious and there are rooms available for families and disabled travellers. There is a lovely swimming pool, a lounge area, dining area, bar and ice cream parlour.
You will experience the wildlife at first hand with a mini-van vehicle with an English-speaking guide to provide you with some interesting facts about the animals.
